- Futuristische vibesTokyo is geen stad die je in één hokje stopt. Je begint je dag rustig bij een tempel, duikt daarna een hypermoderne shoppingwijk in, proeft streetfood, spot de skyline bij zonsondergang en eindigt je avond in een compleet andere wereld. Elke wijk voelt als een nieuwe stad.
- Cultuur & traditieBezoek historische tempels in Asakusa en ervaar de traditionele kant van Japan. Die staat in scherp contrast met het snelle tempo en de moderne architectuur van de rest van de stad. Tokyo voelt tegelijk iconisch én totaal anders dan eender welke Europese hoofdstad.
- City vibesWijken zoals Shibuya, Shinjuku, Asakusa en Akihabara bepalen elk hun eigen sfeer. Een bonte mix van gigantische kruispunten, neonlichten, rooftop views in een stad die nooit stilvalt. Ideaal voor wie die typische “big city energy” écht wil voelen.
- Popcultuur & trendsTokyo is dé plek voor liefhebbers van anime, manga en gaming. Maar ook fashion, fotografie en street culture zitten hier op hoog niveau. Voor veel studenten is dit dé reden om Japan te bezoeken — en eens je er bent, snap je meteen waarom.
- Groene rustpuntenTussen alle drukte door zijn er verrassend veel rustige plekken. Denk aan parken, tempels en uitzichtpunten waar je even kan ontsnappen aan de hectiek — perfect om op adem te komen met vrienden.
- Food & nightlifeVan snelle snacks tot ramenbars en sushi: Tokyo is één grote foodtrip. Je kan er letterlijk 24/7 eten. ’s Avonds ontpopt zich een bruisend nachtleven met kleine bars, izakaya en verborgen spots.

Tokyo staat bekend om zijn levendige straten, lichtreclames en constante beweging.

Naast het moderne stadsbeeld blijft de culturele en historische kant van Tokyo sterk aanwezig.

Tokyo is vandaag nog geen boekbare ISIC-trip. We bekijken deze bestemming als mogelijke toekomstige aanvulling, maar wie in 2027 zeker mee wil op citytrip, kiest momenteel voor New York.

Tokyo is not a bookable ISIC trip yet. We see it as a possible future addition, but if you want to join an ISIC city trip in 2027, New York is currently the available choice.
