The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is the only internationally recognized proof of full-time student status issued in nearly 130 countries. The card allows you to demonstrate your status as a student worldwide and gives you access to more than 150,000 discounts and benefits.

Our international student community was founded in 1953. Since then, it has always worked to make student life meaningful by enriching it with study abroad programs, Erasmus programs and cultural experiences.

Our exclusive academic community has evolved in an ever-changing world, but has always served its 5 million (student) members. Developed to promote cross-cultural understanding and international exchange, the card originally offered students access to exclusive discounts on travel, allowing cardholders to discover and learn about new countries, cultures and languages at reduced rates.

Now, in the digital age, the ISIC card has evolved to best meet the needs of the modern student. While travel benefits will always remain central to the card, ISIC cardholders also gain preferential and discounted access to more than 150,000 products, services and experiences relevant to all aspects of student life.

The ISIC card has been recognized by UNESCO since 1968.  The card is recognized by universities, academic institutions, student unions, national governments, financial institutions and ministries of education around the world.
