Oktoberfest cancelled? Not in Belgium!

Huge disappointment in Germany for lovers of large glasses of beer, smiling waitresses in dirndl, good sausages and festive brassband music: the Munich Oktoberfest edition 2021 is cancelled. But for ISIC Students in Belgium, there's a great alternative!

When princess Theresia of Saksen-Hildburghausen and crown prince Ludwig of Bavaria got married in 1810, a huge beer party was thrown in their honour. Until today (well... before corona), every autumn in Munich, this legendary festival is still organized. Up to 5 million annual visitors attend the Oktoberfest.

Not this year though. But if you still want to sample the unique atmosphere of Oktoberfest, mark Saturday October 23th in your calendar. Ice Mountain Adventure Park in Komen is then organizing its very first Oktoberfest, with lots of beer, würst and live music, while you can see (or try) indoor skiing. The band ‘Les Vaillants Tyroliens’, consisting of 8 musicians, will play live typical Oktoberfest music until 23 hrs. After that, resident DJ Gaetan will spin the disks at a wild après-ski party.

ISIC members are very welcome to attend Oktoberfest in Ice Mountain Adventure Park.
